Chapter 3: Create your Thank You page(s)

Activ E-Book Compiler & ClickBank - How To Sell E-Book Passwords
Chapter 3: Create your Thank You page(s)

It may seem a little odd, but the easiest way to set up a system that sells passwords is to work backwards.

We'll start by creating the pages that will provide the users the password information that will be given after they have paid, and then work backwards through the sales process.

The first step is to create one "Thank You page" for each password that you're selling. If you're planning have just one password for your E-Book, then create only one Thank You page. On the other hand, if you're going to use multiple passwords, then create a different Thank You page for each password.

You should not make the Thank You page the main page of your site, and you can name each Thank You page with a hard-to-guess file name like, for example, xser145xa.html so that after it's uploaded to your web site, its URL will be something impossible for people to guess like http://www.yoursite.com/xser145xa.html.

What To Put On Your Thank You Page

  1. Thank the customer for paying.

  2. Remind the customer of how much they have been billed, and how the charge will show on their next credit card billing statement.

  3. Provide the password (if you are using multiple Thank You pages, make sure that each Thank You page contains a different password, and you keep track of which password is on which Thank You page).

  4. Remind the user of how to enter the password into your E-Book (by clicking Enter Password on the Options menu, or by clicking the Password Toolbar button).

  5. Give the customer a way to contact you in case they have problems - normally your e-mail address will be sufficient.

  6. Provide a method for them to exit your Thank You page. For example "Click Here After You Have Finished Downloading" (which could for example link to your home page).
Try to make your Thank You page as simple as possible. Do not clutter your Thank You page with unnecessary information or adverts. Just give the customer exactly what they paid for, as simply and effectively as possible.
